PROJECT: The Big Pictue Illusion: U.S. Foreign Aid Spending
OVERVIEW
Designed an informative infographic poster focusing on a specific social issue: foreign aid. This project aims to visualize the misconception surrounding U.S. foreign aid spending. Drawing from the article "A Brief History of U.S. Foreign Aid", the infographic traces the history, regional impacts, and political motives behind U.S. foreign aid efforts from the Marshall Plan to present-day initiatives in Ukraine, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
SOLUTION
Designed an informative infographic poster using a metaphor of a tiger and a cat to clearly depict the gap between perception and reality. The visual emphasizes how foreign aid may appear substantial but is actually a small fraction of the total U.S. budget, helping to communicate complex historical and financial data in an accessible and impactful way.
Role: Information design
Deliverables: Infographic poster
